LEP has developed an entire suite of programs that provide the framework and set of tools for the areas of interest. These programs are all interrelated, and although they can be implemented separately, we typically implement several programs simultaneously and work with you to understand the relationships.

Integrated Strategic Planning and Metrics (ISPM)

A coherent, comprehensive system combining strategy, planning, execution and metrics. Integrating these processes into a single system achieves the maximum impact and produces a framework for continuously reviewing and revising the strategy as conditions warrant. Yet it has flexibility for use at all levels of the organization.

Organizational Effectiveness Enhancement (OEE)

Organizational Transformation and Organizational Development Programs are two closely related psychological approches to bettering your organization; from better lines of communication, succession planning, early identification of potential leaders and developing programs that instill a driving passion for continuous improvement; comonly called the softer skills. At LEP, we believe they are vital components of a holistic approach for a highly successful engagement.

Business Process Design (BPD)

No matter how hard individuals work, they cannot overcome a flawed process design, much less the burden of no design at all. Increasingly, organizations are realizing that the first step in almost any major project is to analyze and define their business process—a set of logically related business activities that combine to deliver something of value to a customer, and then communicate those processes to those who need them. BPD is typically performed by business analysts and managers who are seeking to improve process efficiency and quality. As a result, business processes represent an alternative, and in many ways a more powerful way of looking at an organization and what it does, than the traditional departmental or functional view.

Supply Chain Optimization (SCO)

Your supply chain is critical to your overall business strategy and can influence a significant percentage of operating results. We analyze all logistic components from procurement, inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, buying, moving, producing, storing and delivering. Our SCO is a framework for evaluating your existing supply chain operation and develops custom, tailor-fit solutions to the challenges facing your organization.

Value Chain Optimization (VCO)

The Value Chain represents supply and demand activities focused on delivering value to the consumer. Industry leaders are increasingly exploring opportunities within their Value Chain to eliminate waste and more effectively serve their customers. Value Stream Mapping is a means that LEP uses to accomplish this. It is a simple but powerful model; If an activity or process does not add value, it is eliminated.

LEP uses the Value Stream Map, developed at Toyota, as a tool to:

  • Diagram your current value stream
  • Identify the bottlenecks that prevent you from meeting your customers demand, when they want it
  • Develops a "to-be" lean system

Once the "to-be" lean system is determined, LEP works with your team to implement the changes.

Vendor Reliability Program (VRP)

When your product's reliability is critically linked to a vendor's performance, your team must be equipped with consistent, reliable sources to ensure optimum deliverables. Improving the reliability of your suppliers will have a direct, positive and continuing impact on your bottom line. The LEP Vendor Reliability Program was developed to address these issues by working with your vendors to improve their performance.

Enriched Revenue Levels (ERL)

In order to cultivate a lasting "Lean" mindset that affects the entire organization, LEP has developed training programs to instruct and coach key employees to become resident "experts" who will take Lean Manufacturing to the next level. This demonstrates your company's commitment to lasting cultural changes. These individuals can be used as valuable on-site resources for consultation on special projects, and to assist those who are trying to develop their Lean Manufacturing skills.

Management Control Systems (MCS)

Management Control is the process by which managers lead and influence others to implement the organization’s strategies. There must be consistent management support in order to meet objectives and sustain success, and a Management Control System (MCS) is a tool used to aid management to do this. It gathers and uses information to evaluate the performance of all the organization’s resources, from people to financial, and requires metrics at all levels of the organization to be linked to one another. We have found that the best way to create lasting change and long-term commitment is to get your employees involved. This system allows everyone to see how they contribute directly to the success of the organization.

Business Transformation (BT)

Business Transformation is the fundamental change to the way a business operates, whether that be moving into a new market or operating in a new way. It’s achieved by aligning people, processes and technology more closely with its business strategy and vision. It can be defined as:

  • Changing Appearance — What the customer sees
  • Changing Shape — How the organization utilizes its resources
  • Changing Form — Embracing new organization structures, skills, processes and technology

LEP works with your staff to develop the strategy and roadmap for accomplishing the business transformation. Then in partnership with your organization, we assist in implementing the business change.

Staff Augmentation (SA)

On occasion, organizations find themselves in the middle of a project and lack sufficient internal resources to complete the project. LEP can provide experienced, knowledgeable staff to augment your team throughout the project. The LEP team members are Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in their respective fields and can quickly contribute to your project.

Sales and Operation Planning (SAOP)

Sales and Operation Planning is a more comprehensive program, incorporating several other programs. The program starts with a collaborative business planning process that focuses on strategy and policy for inventory management ensuring market demand is balanced with supply capabilities. It also includes relationship selling sales training and coaching.

Defense or Compliance Cost Cutting (CCR)

Massive appropriation cuts are coming and new regulations are requiring more resources to ensure compliance. To remain competitive in this market, organization leaders must take proactive steps to understand the impact of these changes and reduce costs to offset the shift. LEP’s Compliance Cost Reduction (CCR) is one such proactive measure that provides a framework and set of Lean tools to reduce the impact of the challenges.

Maintenance

Most facilities have some type of maintenance system; however, these systems tend to be inefficiently operated. LEP conducts an analysis of the existing system and provides a roadmap for installing a robust, efficient maintenance system. Then working with you, LEP installs the improved maintenance system.

Project and Program Management Office (PMO) (PgMO)

A critical element in any project is a project management office (PMO). If multiple related projects are on-going, then a Program Management Office (PgMO) should be established. LEP has the expertise to help establish both offices and coach your team in the proper management. Our trainers are certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute. In all LEP projects, a PMO is established and staffed by both LEP project manger and your project manager.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)

A Mergers and Acquisitions Program begins with assessing the deal within the context of your organizational strategy. We then assist in performing a full-operational due diligence. Once the M&A is approved and moving forward, LEP provides complete transition service, ensuring the post-deal organizational and operational integration is as smooth as possible.
